NETABSTRACTION is an attempt at abstracting the dynamic content of the Web in real time. These Shockwave programs will surf the web on their own in order to create continuous random collages out of the texts and the images that they find along the way. Enter any URLs to start. They will randomly pick one, download the page, extract any links in it, add them to a list of URLs, and then randomly pick one from there again. This process goes on forever until either you stop it or it reaches a dead-end. The first time you run it, it will prompt you with a security warning. This is because the programs download Web pages without your explicit request. They will not download or upload anything that could cause any harm to your system. |
